QUARTER RACING OWNERS OF ONTARIO INC. AID CLASSY LANE FARM FIRE FUND

AJAX, ONTARIO, January 8, 2016 – The Quarter Racing Owners of Ontario Inc. have pledged a $6,000 donation to the Central Ontario Standardbred Association to help the horse people affected by the loss of their horses in the Jan. 4 barn fire at Classy Lane Farm near Puslinch, ON.

“They are all in our thoughts,” said Bob Broadstock, president of QROOI which represents all the Quarter Horse industry members in the province. We feel their losses as horse lovers who are dedicated to the animals. And we know many horsemen/women are now without equipment, jobs and most importantly the animals that they worked with everyday. We want them to know that we are thinking about them all.”

The $6,000 pledge will go to the fund that has been put in place by COSA and the monies will be divided up amongst those most affected by the fire. There were 43 horses killed in the devastating fire.
